On December 31, 2019, Shi Yougen, member of the Standing Committee of the Rugao Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, Director of the Municipal Supervision Commission, Huang Wenbin, Executive Vice Mayor of Rugao City, and Director of the Rugao Ecological Environment Bureau went to Jiangsu Denggao Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site research and guidance on the "toilet revolution" work, accompanied by relevant officials.



Toilets play a special and important role in people's lives, and sanitary toilets are an important symbol of rural civilization. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the "toilet revolution" as a fundamental livelihood work, and emphasized that "the toilet problem is not a small matter, but an important aspect of urban and rural civilization construction. It should not only be addressed in scenic spots and cities, but also in rural areas. This work should be promoted as a specific task of the rural revitalization strategy, and efforts should be made to fill this gap that affects the quality of life of the masses.
In recent years, Jiangsu Denggao Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has been committed to the research and development of small-scale rural septic tank sewage treatment facilities production and renovation, and has obtained multiple qualification certificates such as the National Class A Qualification Certificate for "Septic Tank Production and Renovation Service Enterprise", the National Class A Qualification Certificate for "Sewage Treatment Service Enterprise", the National Class A Qualification Certificate for "Municipal Environmental Cleaning and Maintenance Service Enterprise", and the National Class A Qualification Certificate for "Environmental Sanitation Cleaning Service Enterprise".


The "Toilet Revolution" project mainly aims to transform rural dry toilets into seated or squatting toilets. To solve the inconvenience of flushing rural tap water, a water storage tank is designed with pressurized flushing to address the problem of multi-source water sources. After entering the small-scale septic tank for initial sedimentation and separation, domestic fecal sewage enters the next stage of biological treatment process. The biological treatment process is divided into two-stage anaerobic and one-stage aerobic, with an organic matter removal rate of over 70%. To reduce electricity consumption in the sewage treatment process, solar energy+battery technology is adopted, which provides timely oxygen required by the biological system through automatic control and continuously maintains biological activity. Z finally filters particulate matter through stone retention, and the Z final drainage meets the discharge standard of "Grade B for urban sewage treatment plants".


The environmental pollution caused by sewage in daily life is becoming increasingly serious. Based on the summary and introduction of domestic and foreign sewage treatment processes, combined with the scientific research achievements of Nantong University and the engineering practice of the company, this project adopts polymer composite materials and factory production, which is an efficient, energy-saving, lightweight, and inexpensive way of treating domestic sewage. It has successfully replaced traditional brick and steel-concrete septic tanks that pollute groundwater quality and affect the safety of surrounding buildings due to leakage and poor operating conditions. This treatment method utilizes the gravity flow of water, does not require any external power, uses solar energy as energy, saves operating costs and energy, is easy to manage, and has good social, environmental, and economic benefits.
