Ⅰ Project Background
The General Office of the Party Committee and the General Office of the People's Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region have issued the "Five Year Action Plan for Improving the Rural Living Environment of the Autonomous Region (2021-2025)". This plan aims to comprehensively improve the living environment quality of rural areas in Xinjiang through a series of measures. The main contents of the plan include: promoting the rural toilet revolution and improving rural hygiene conditions; Strengthen the treatment of rural household waste and sewage to reduce environmental pollution; Improve rural infrastructure construction, including roads, water supply, power supply, etc; Promote rural greening and beautification, and enhance the overall landscape of villages; Strengthen the institutional construction and supervision management of rural environmental governance to ensure that all measures are implemented effectively. By implementing this plan, Xinjiang Autonomous Region hopes to significantly improve the rural living environment and enhance the quality of life of rural residents within five years, laying a solid foundation for achieving the strategic goals of rural revitalization.

Ⅱ Project Overview
The project is located in Erdaohezi facility, Ziniquanzi Town, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang, serving a population of approximately 500 people.
The village originally used traditional powered sewage treatment equipment, using AAO+MBR treatment process. However, due to high energy consumption, high operation and maintenance costs, technical complexity (frequent failures of aeration equipment), and unstable effluent quality (not meeting agricultural irrigation standards, prone to paralysis at low temperatures in winter), the facilities were idle within two years of construction, resulting in sewage flow and odor disturbance to residents, becoming a stubborn pain point for local living environment improvement.
On the basis of the original treatment facilities, renovation has been carried out. After renovation, the actual treatment capacity for rural domestic sewage is 25 tons/day, and the effluent is used for resource utilization such as ecological restoration. It meets the B-level requirements of the Xinjiang local standard "Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment and Discharge Standard" (DB 65 4275-2019) and can be applied to irrigation of ecological forests and deserts; It can also meet the requirements of the "Water Quality Standards for Irrigation in Farmland" (GB 5084-2021) and is suitable for irrigation in farmland.
Ⅲ Scope of application
This mode is suitable for the following situations:
● It is suitable for both northern arid regions and southern regions, and can be applied to plains or hilly mountains;
● This non powered treatment process can be used for centralized treatment of domestic sewage in rural tourism and residential areas, as well as for powered sewage treatment systems invested in the early stages of renovation-projects that are in a "sun drying" state due to difficulties in later operation and maintenance funds.
Ⅳ Implementation measures
Phase 1: Process Design and Installation Measures
● Original site design and renovation:
Clear the existing abandoned power equipment pool and carry out renovation and reuse of the existing pool on site. Greatly saves civil engineering costs and construction period, avoiding redundant construction.
● Quick installation of modular equipment:
Transport two prefabricated PE integrated tanks (diameter 2 meters, length 9.45 meters) to the site. Use a crane to accurately lift the tank into the pre excavated pit (with a pre made concrete cushion layer), connect the pipes, and complete the main installation within one day.
● Accurate design of hydraulic processes:
Core: The entire process relies on gravity flow. Ensure that sewage can flow through the collection pipeline network → tank with screen → PE anaerobic tank → functional filter tank → resource utilization tank. Ensure smooth water flow and no risk of blockage.
Phase 2: Implementation Measures for Core Processing Units
● Construction of biological system in anaerobic tank:
Add bio-bacterial strains and spherical bio-film forming media to the anaerobic tank in the front section of the PE tank.
Function: The spherical bio-film forming media provides a huge attachment and growth surface for bacterial strains, forming an efficient anaerobic biofilm. The sewage flows slowly in this compartment, and microorganisms decompose large organic molecules into small molecules, achieving harmless treatment.
● Filter materials in functional filter tank:
Fill the functional filter compartment at the rear of the tank with our company's unique deodorizing and water purification filter material, ammonia nitrogen removal filter material, and phosphorus removal filter material.
Function: After anaerobic treatment, the water slowly flows through these filter materials, and further removes pollutants, nitrogen and phosphorus, and odors through physical adsorption, precipitation, and biological processes, ensuring clear and odorless effluent.
● Resource utilization tank supporting facilities:
Construct or renovate an existing reservoir as the resource utilization tank, and carry out anti-seepage treatment.
The pond is located near farmland, making it convenient for farmers to access water. Install a simple water intake or gate valve at the outlet.
Phase 3: Long term operation and maintenance
Simply promote to villagers that not littering the drainage pipes is the best way to maintain the equipment.
Ⅴ Technological breakthrough
Denggao Environmental Protection adopts a self-developed non powered biological treatment process, which completely resolves the original dilemma through the following innovations:
Zero energy operation: The entire process relies on water level difference for self flow, without the need for electricity or aeration equipment, effectively solving the problem of "inability to use electricity and maintain equipment";
Modular intelligent transformation: Utilizing the original site to quickly implant dual PE tanks (Ø 2m × 9.45m), anaerobic decomposition is deeply coupled with functional filter media to achieve dual standards of "harmlessness+resource utilization".

The effluent quality is stable and meets the "Sanitary Standards for Harmless Feces" (GB 7959-2012), with a fecal coliform count of ≤ 10000/L and a mortality rate of ≥ 98% for roundworm eggs, effectively blocking the transmission of diseases.
◆ 100% resource utilization of water resources to achieve ecological cycle:
The treated effluent meets the irrigation standards for farmland and is entirely used for irrigation of surrounding farmland and forests. In the arid and rainless Xinjiang region, it replaces precious freshwater resources, achieving the goal of "turning waste into treasure" and alleviating agricultural water pressure.
◆ Thoroughly eliminate odor and visual pollution, and improve the appearance of the village:
Through the deodorizing filter material and biodegradation of the functional filter compartment, there is no odor generated on site.
The phenomenon of sewage cross flow in the past has been eliminated, and the village environment has been fundamentally improved.
● Environmental benefits: synergy between low-carbon emission reduction and ecological friendliness
Environmental benefits are another major core value. The equipment effectively degrades organic matter, stabilizes the removal rate of pollutants such as COD, and improves the water environment quality in the village. Its "zero power consumption" operation mode fundamentally eliminates the carbon emissions of the treatment process itself, making it a truly low-carbon technology.
● Social benefits: the link between improving living conditions and promoting harmony
The social benefits of this device are direct and profound. It eliminates the phenomenon of sewage flowing and mosquitoes and flies breeding in front and behind rural houses from the source, greatly improving the appearance and hygiene conditions of the village, effectively cutting off the transmission of diseases through water bodies, and improving the health level and quality of life of villagers. A clean and tidy environment enhances the happiness and sense of belonging of villagers, and helps promote rural revitalization. The implementation process of the project itself is also a vivid environmental practice, which helps to enhance the ecological civilization awareness of villagers and their enthusiasm for participating in public affairs, promoting community harmony.

The process flow is simple, without the need for complex control, with few fault points and stable operation, making it very suitable for rural areas with weak technical strength.
